Sandown

 

Sandown had the third largest percent increase in population over fifty years, growing over 16 times larger. Decennial growth rates ranged from a 16 percent increase between 1950-1960 to a 178 percent increase between 1970-1980. Over fifty years, Sandown's population increased by a total of 4,828 residents, going from 315 in 1950 to 5,143 in 2000. The 2004 Census estimate for Sandown was 5,641 residents
