Derry is located along Interstate 93 12 miles South of
Manchester,NH and 45 miles North of Boston. It is bordered by the
communities of Auburn,Chester,Hampstead, Londonderry, Salem,
Sandown,and Windham all in Rockingham County New Hampshire.
Derry is known as the birthplace of Alan Shepard, the first United States astronaut in space. It has also been home to Poet Robert Frost. Greater Derry is one of New Hampshire's most populated areas, Derry's population is about 34,000.
